01. The Picture of Dorian Gray is, without question, the most amazing and creative thing I’ve ever seen on stage. This article explains how some of the incredible staging was achieved.
02. Two trips to the Mornington Peninsula this week – Tuesday at Peninsula Hot Springs – clear, sunny skies but a chill in the air – perfect for soaking in the hot water. And today at Blairgowrie – hard to believe this is winter (although the water temperature was a reminder).

03. Two movies this week – Nothing to Laugh About at the Scandinavian Film Festival (I cried and cried!) and Mass at the Melbourne International Film Festival (it was harrowing, and I cried and cried through the whole thing).
04. After many attempts to get an acorn going, success.

05. We went hunting for the Studley Park Gum… And we probably saw one! In the process, we discovered the peaceful Gresswell Forest in Macleod.

07. Corn ribs at Fancy Hanks.
08. Last but certainly not least, I went to a lace-making workshop at the State Library on Friday night. I’m not at all crafty (I was accompanying my daughter), but managed to produce a gum leaf. It was a superb way to end the working week.

Your gum leaf looks great!
One actor plays 26 roles! That is surely a record.
Wasn’t the Picture of Dorian Grey amazing. Mr Books and I were blown away by it.
And I love your gum leaf – very clever!
Impressive lace making.
