01. Ten hours of music fun at Laneway Festival. Highlights: on the ‘small’ stage, Bel Air Lip Bombs and Teen Jesus delivered. On the big stages, I loved seeing Lucy Dacus and Role Model but the highlights were Wet Leg and (of course) Chappell.

02. Saw two films this week:
- The Birthday Party, part of the upcoming Europa Europa film festival – enjoyed the seventies-island vibe (think Slim Aarons on film) but overall, weird.
- Wuthering Heights – I loved it. If you’re unsure, just go in and don’t overthink it.
03. Watching: started Dog Park (ABC) – shaping up to be a terrific series and the soundtrack is brilliant (Teen Jesus, Rat Cat and Nik Kershaw in the first few minutes).
04. Women’s Prize for Nonfiction 2026 longlist – have read (and loved) the Roy, and want to read Perry, Evans and Green.
05. Eating: Lune’s everything croissant. It really is everything.
06. This post about spectating and the winter Olympics made me laugh.

I’m going to see Wuthering Heights at the weekend and plan to watch it without any reference to the book at all.
