Interesting… I loved the book but can’t bring myself to watch the TV adaptation because I just know the music will not match what I heard in my head when I read it… 🤷🏻♀️
I was afraid of that, especially because they discuss in the book all the tonal nuances they want to use. But I can assure you, I have fallen in love with the soundtrack!
I do love the soundtrack, and ended up loving the series… but still pick the book! I think some character elements ended up lost on the screen… but I’m still so glad I watched it!
I’ve been debating watching this. I loved the book. I listened to the audio version so it was like and NPR/PRI “special”–a radio documentary, if you will, in that format. The soundtrack really intrigues me though. I was a teen/young adult in the era of Daisy & the Six. (I’ve linked with the url of my review if you want to read it. No pressure!!!)

Thanks Kate – between you and Cathy my Spotify library is explanding 🙂
I just listened to this one on audiobook and enjoyed it so much that I kind of don’t want the TV series to ruin what I’m picturing in my head!
