Nonfiction November – New to My TBR

It’s the final week of Nonfiction November, hosted by Katie @ Doing Dewey.

So what’s the damage? I’ve added quite a few books to the TBR stack.

Vincent and Theo by Deborah Heiligman, spotted at Sophisticated Dorkiness.

Silence: In the Age of Noise by Erling Kagge and The Joy of Forest Bathing by Melanie Choukas-Bradley spotted at Reading with Jade.

In Pursuit of Memory by Joseph Jabelli found at Ex-Urbanis.

I love Literary Mixtape’s ‘raging river’ picks however the book that most tempts me is The Discovery of Jeanne Baret by Glynis Ridley.

Word by Word by Kory Stamper found at Always Doing.

The Foundling by Paul Fronczak found at Spirit Blog.

Readerbuzz reminded me that I’ve been meaning to read H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald.

The Vanity Fair Diaries by Tina Brown spotted at The Paperback Princess.

Truth and Beauty by Ann Patchett via Mind Joggle.

Love, Loss, and What We Ate by Padma Lakshmi at Stacked.

Everything is Normal: The Life and Times of a Soviet Kid by Sergey Grechishkin and The Girl from the Metropol Hotel: Growing Up in Communist Russia by Ludmilla Petrushevskaya found at What’s Nonfiction?

New podcasts to add to my list: Gladiator and American Scandal, recommended by Sarah’s Book Shelves.

Lastly, thank you to all the Nonfiction November hosts – it’s been fun! And thank you to everyone who took the time to comment on posts.

  1. Here’s one to add, it is a must-read: The Arsonist by Chloe Hooper (yes, that Chloe ‘Tall Man’ Hooper). Just reviewed on mine…
And one for next year, haven’t set eyes on it yet but I’m in love with the title: From Secret Ballot to Democracy Sausage by Judith Brett. (Text).
