It’s week one of Novellas in November and the theme is My Year in Novellas.

I mostly save my novella reading for November but a few have made my reading list since last year’s Novella November.

The Wax Child by Olga Ravn
The Night Interns by Austin Duffy
A Truce That is Not Peace by Miriam Toews
Things in Nature Merely Grow by Yiyun Li
Discontent by Beatriz Serrano
Before the Leaves Fall by Clare O’Dea
Air by Christian Kracht

I enjoyed all of these for different reasons (and I am still thinking about Toews’s ‘wind museum’) but it’s Discontent by Beatriz Serrano that I reckon everyone should add to their #NovNov reading list.
