01. A wild (early morning) swim at Golden Point, near Castlemaine. It was a brisk four degrees but… invigorating!

02. I was in Castlemaine for Ron Sexsmith who was playing at the Theatre Royal (he is touring his new album, Hangover Terrace, but played lots of old stuff, including some favourites from his 1995 self-titled album). It was a brilliant concert – his voice is exactly as it is when you listen to his recordings.
03. Also a visit to the Castlemaine Art Museum to see two exhibitions in particular:
Where Stone Meets Sky by Brodie Ellis and Alvin Darcy. I loved Ellis’s ‘ceramic flow forms’ cast from the xylem and phloem of fallen trees – magic.

Ilke White‘s incredible woven pieces that are part of the Groundswell exhibit.

04. Eating: the best pub meal I’ve had in years at The Albion (my steak was cooked to perfection and my brother’s crispy grilled Murray Cod with cabbage and potato chowder was exceptional).
05. Watching: Somebody Somewhere S3 (HBO) – this show is one of my all-time favourites (I laugh and cry every episode). Also, Game of Wool (Binge) because I love Tom Daley and the fact that one of the judges literally cries tears of joy when she sees something that’s beautifully knitted.
06. Cooking: It’s the chewiness of the dates that elevates these cookies.
07. Browsing the Melbourne Design Week program (lots of great events – art book fair; this supper; and this workshop making bee habitats).
08. I’ve been on a huge ‘unsubscribe’ effort (which means everything that arrives in my inbox this week, I unsubscribe… if it’s important, I’ll find my way back). A digital spring-clean feels great.
09. Last week I mentioned that I loved silver shoes… I also love striped tees. This one is perfect.
I love a stripy tee as well ! I used to shun them because my mum and sister are obsessed, but the genes won out 😆and now I’m constantly on the hunt for a good one!
I have always been a stripy-tee-devotee (do you remember that shop in the nineties, Remo General Store? They had great ones). Anyway, the one I’ve linked to is so good that I bought two.
Striped Tees are the best!
