It’s almost old news now (I’ve been out at dinner), but here is the 2023 Stella Prize shortlist:

• big beautiful female theory by Eloise Grills (Affirm Press)
• The Jaguar by Sarah Holland-Batt (University of Queensland Press)
• Hydra by Adriane Howell (Transit Lounge)
• Indelible City by Louisa Lim (Text Publishing)
• Bad Art Mother by Edwina Preston (Wakefield Press)

So, two works of nonfiction, a graphic memoir, one book of poetry, and two novels.

I’ve only read one, so not really in a position to make a prediction but I have three in the TBR stack (Preston, Lim and Howell). If I get through them, I’ll make a call.
