01. In my happiest of places.
02. Spending time with my brother, sister-in-law, and nephews; staying on the beach until evening; freshly caught fish for dinner (snapper and whiting).
03. This Twitter thread about pools swum in 2022 (the photos are very impressive).
04. Went to see I Wanna Dance With Somebody – was good (and a bit gentler than the doco I watched last year).
05. OMG. Doing this for all of my Yarra walks.
06. The January edition of Australian Gourmet Traveller – island holidays and Mediterranean memories.
07. Watched: absolutely gripping doco about the Australian win of the America’s Cup in 1983 – the honesty and the egos were very interesting
08. Arthur’s Seat views.
Oh, I watched that America’s Cup doco a while back cos, you know, Freo ❤️
The interviews with Dennis Conner were the best bit. Interesting how many times the Cup has changed hands since Australia’s win.
Sounds like you’re having an idyllic time Kate!
Glorious photos to brighten up a winter’s day her in the UK!
I didn’t know you had an Arthur’s Seat in Oz — I’ve climbed the one in Edinburgh 🙂 An upcoming UK swimming memoir (with bonus grief theme!) to put on your radar: The Tidal Year by Freya Bromley.
Not sure our Arthur’s Seat is on the scale of the Scottish one!
Grief and swimming? I’m sold.
Oh I love the Mornington Peninsula so much – looks like you’ve actually had some nice summer weather there too. So many times we visited at Christmas and we were piling on jumpers and socks to stay warm!
I love it anytime of the year but really, really love perfect 27 degrees swimming weather!
Sounds delightful
