Bookish (and not so bookish) Thoughts

01. We went to the cricket for International Women’s Day. It was spectacular (the result; being part of such a big crowd for a women’s sporting event; and Katy Perry and her dancing cricket bats).

02. I always look closely at the Sydney Writers Festival program because the visiting international authors often pop down to Melbourne as part of the Wheeler Centre’s Mayhem program (get excited about Lisa Taddeo, Leslie Jamison and Siri Hustvedt).

03. Yum.

04. I didn’t know my ‘administrivia days’ had an official name… this article about getting shit done.

05. Have you voted for your eucalypt of the year?

06. The thing that bugs me about the COVID19-toilet-paper situation is that a few months ago, Australians were bending over backwards to help with the bushfire appeal and now they don’t have a square to spare…
