Books I’m looking forward to in 2014

As a result, I’m not spending time at the computer putting together photo montages of book covers. And my list isn’t debuts, it’s just books I’m looking forward to. And it’s not even ten books, it’s twelve. Do with it what you will.

1. Careless People: Murder, Mayhem, and the Invention of The Great Gatsby by Sarah Churchwell

2. The Guts by Roddy Doyle

3. Astonish Me by Maggie Shipstead

4. The Snow Queen by Michael Cunningham

5. Lost for Words by Edward St. Aubyn

6. Arctic Summer by Damon Galgut

7. The Paying Guests by Sarah Waters

8. Frog Music by Emma Donoghue

9. The Days of Anna Madrigal by Armistead Maupin

10. Her by Harriet Lane

11. To Rise Again at a Decent Hour by Joshua Ferris

12. Eat My Heart Out by Zoe Pilger
