Book vs. Film: Grief is the Thing with Feathers

Book. Because:

  • there was a violent and sinister tone to Crow that dominated in the film – not so in the book (Crow was far more nuanced).
  • the changing perspectives in the book worked well – was difficult to achieve the same in the film.
  • I wondered if you’d not read the book, would all the elements of this film make sense? (two women left toward the end of the session I was at – would have loved to have known why!).

Book here. Film here.
