It’s week one of Novella November and the theme is My Year in Novellas.
I mostly save my novella reading for November but a few have made my reading list since last year’s Novella November.
Minor Detail by Adania Shibli (fiction)
Ravenous Girls by Rebecca Burton (fiction)
Hospital by Sanya Rushdi (auto-fiction)
Seafaring by Victor Briggs (nonfiction)
I enjoyed all of these for different reasons but it’s Minor Detail that has stayed with me. Read it for the ending.

A smart move to publish today, because tomorrow is #6Degrees (which as usual I haven’t even started yet).
I’ve scheduled mine for Sunday.
Once November hits I have to be a bit organised about posts (normally I don’t have a schedule).
Very keen to read Minor Detail
Read it for the ending. — I will!!!!
I think I only read one novella before this project. I should go back and check.
Here is my first batch of reviews: https://headfullofbooks.blogspot.com/2024/11/novella-reviews-christmas-carol-dept-of.html
Minor Detail is extraordinary. And yes, that ending is entirely unforgettable
I have not read any of them, but will check them out. I managed, unexpectedly, and unplanned to finish a new book yesterday coming to me from a street library; Happy People Read and Drink Coffee by Agnès Martin-Lugand. A book about sorrow and findin your pat in life again. It was very good. Review will follow.
Seafaring looks amazing – a modern-day Thor Heyerdahl in a way. A shame it doesn’t seem obtainable at the moment, just a v expensive e-book.
