01. I’ll try not to make this post all about potato cakes (with whipped cod’s roe) but… oh my gosh. Saint George, I’m devoted.
02. Also worth raving about, Saint George’s charred leeks with lemon, burnt maple and ricotta, and a simply delicious raspberry pavlova.

03. The Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala (it’s where I do my research, deciding on who to see more of when the Festival kicks off on March 27). Lots of my favourites performed (including Nath Valvo and Mel Buttle) but new discoveries for this year were Cameron James and Daniel Connell.
04. Only one Melbourne Food and Wine Festival event this year – Vern’s x Capitano. Highlights: raw coral trout with fermented chili and lemon; rabbit and campanelle; and an outstanding blood plum granita to finish.
05. Watching: Orange is the New Black (yeah, I’m a decade late to the party).
06. Listening: The Lemon Twigs – they have a Beach Boys and very early Bee Gees vibe.
07. I do eat at home 🙂 – this tarragon chicken bake – easy and delicious.
Okay, so… Orange is the New Black does jump the shark a couple of times, but the last season makes up for it. Keep watching!
I’m into S2 now – it’s certainly holding my attention!
I LOVE The Lemon Twigs – gorgeous sunny power pop.
Improving my drive to work 🙂
As always, enjoyed your weekly list. I looked at the recipe – unfortunately not for me due to my intolerances – and I was entertained by the discussion about spices in the comments on the recipe. Do you add any?
Oddly, I didn’t look at the comments about spices! I find tarragon quite distinctive and was happy to leave it at that!
