There’s that thing going around on social media called ‘girl math‘ – I think what I need is ‘book math’ to explain how I read 105 books this year, yet my TBR stack went from 362 books to 346.
Actually, I don’t care to do the maths – instead I feel comforted by the joy-insurance 346 unread books provide.
I’m off to Readings for more insurance.

I think if you apply book math you’ll find that packages received between Christmas and New Year don’t count.
Ah yes, that was in Form IV Algebra, I remember it now…
I think my TBR is about the same as yours Kate – I’ve not counted for a few years! But I think rather than feeling overwhelmed I’ll feel the comfort as you suggest – I like that way of framing it. Happy book shopping!

Love the photo. Yes, I wonder sometimes too about the maths of my TBR. I think that 2023 at least will lower the number a little bit. Good luck with your math efforts in 2024.
