01. Lots of events at Rising this week.
- Drinking by Paul Kelly – storytelling with music, he never disappoints (and my first visit to the Melbourne Recital Centre, which was a fantastic space).
- 10,000 Kazoos – always fun to be part of a world record breaking event. The best part was hearing random kazoos still being played at other festival events later in the night (mostly by kids – parents will be destroying kazoos everywhere today)
- Spark – mesmerizing (above)
- Anthem – the piece was all about acoustics but the footage of the sea and sky was beautiful.

02. Watched: gripped by Love & Death (Foxtel/ Binge) – and it has a great seventies soundtrack.
03. Possibly my favourite post-Succession thing on social media.
04. Late to winter planting but have put beetroot and cauliflower in.
05. Fanta Mentos.
06. It’s not too early for 2024 holiday planning…
07. And lastly, happy to be alive this week. Was involved in a terrible car accident – I walked away uninjured (my little car needs a visit to the panel beater) but was one of those situations where had I been a second earlier, the outcome would have been very different (another car lost control, flipped and landed on my bonnet. It was a write-off).
OMG. So glad you survived the car accident. Sounds horrific. Trust no one else was hurt ?
Incredibly, the driver of the totaled car walked away from the wreck – seat belt and airbags saved her life.
OMG… I’m so glad you’re okay! Take care of yourself.
Yes, hadn’t planned on an existential crisis to start my week!
What a scary thing. So glad you and the other driver were fine, but no doubt it shook you up. I’ve had a few near misses in my time due to my own negligence. I’m relieved that my life is mostly car-free now; we underestimate how risky driving is as a daily activity.
