05. Rocky Road Festival! I’m a traditionalist, but I will be persuaded to try Black Forest Rocky Road.
06. Did a fascinating PD session on sensory experiences of the deceased (previously labelled bereavement hallucinations). I regularly have people tell me that they ‘sense’ or see/feel/hear the deceased person they were close to. Really, there’s just so much we can’t explain…
07. My 20 Books of Summer performance has been rubbish the last two years, but that won’t stop me joining in again.

Rocky Road is usually too sweet for me, but I could also be tempted by a Black Forest version 🙂
01 YES! It’s a great song, too, quite aside from what the country and the band members are living through. Also, I was delighted with the UK entry this year, and so pleased for Lovely Thor – just goes to show what can happen when we take the contest seriously rather than as an embarrassing joke.
02 Moldova was so refreshing after Ballad Central. I actually danced. It reminded me of Gogol Bordello.
I don’t really have much to add this week. I don’t watch Eurovision (though it sounds like a good win), and I sort of like Rocky Road (but cherries and chocolate are not my favourite combination), and I haven’t even managed to try 20 books of summer. Why set myself up to fail. Sorry Cathy. I love the idea but just can’t commit. I just read what I can.
Number 6 was interesting and I can relate to it as I’ve experience things myself. However, I am inclined to believe it’s wishful thinking in the mind of the bereaved (but I suppose that’s not a popular attitude. I’m supposed to be more open?)
I need to pull my finger out and read CwithF before watching the show – thankfully I included it on my 20 books of winter!!

I just came across your blog and I have to say I’m intrigued. Rocky road is my favorite flavor of ice cream, but I’m not a fan of fruity flavors. I would try black forest rocky road just to say I did.
Good luck on your 20 books of summer. I will be right there with you, but I don’t tend to pre determine what I will read. I’m more of a fly by the seat of my pants kind of girl. Happy reading.
