Stella Prize 2020 shortlist

My Stella Prize longlist reading effort only started last week…. and it turns out that I’ve read the majority of the shortlist. Yay for me!

Here it is:

  • See What You Made Me Do by Jess Hill (nonfiction)
  • Diving Into Glass by Caro Llewellyn (memoir)
  • There Was Still Love by Favel Parrett (novel)
  • Here Until August by Josephine Rowe (short stories)
  • The Yield by Tara June Winch (novel)
  • The Weekend by Charlotte Wood (novel)

Reviews of the Rowe and Wood are on the way. Currently reading Winch and Hill. Will get on to Llewellyn before the winner is announced on April 8, 2020.

Predication? Some of these books are beautifully written, some are so important…. but I know my heart has been captured by Favel Parrett…

  1. With anyone else I’d say you were just showing off …. so glad though that we can rely on you to give insights to those of us who haven’t read even one of the shortlist (hangs head in shame….)
