Man Booker Prize 2012 (what they ate)

Book bloggers are going a little mad today, reporting on the results of the Man Booker Prize 2012. Indeed, all very interesting.

But as I watched the Prize ceremony unfold on Twitter, this is what grabbed my attention –

Yes, someone tweeted a photo of the Man Booker Prize 2012 Awards Ceremony menu. Whoever did this is my personal champion (at least for today). Now if you’re having trouble with the detail, this is what they dined on:

Porcini souffle, warm salad of wild mushrooms, black truffle shavings and cep velouté.

Roasted leg of lamb with rosemary and garlic, potato mille Feuillee, confit turnip and jugs of Madeira jus.

Autumn textures and scents – Blackberry jelly, cassis foam, spiced apple puree, mulled berry sherbet, orchard fruit crisps and wafers.

Freshly brewed organic coffee, tea and herbal teas with homemade petits fours.

It’s the ‘Autumn textures and scents…’ that won me – I WANT TO EAT AUTUMN TEXTURES AND SCENTS!
