When I was young, my family sometimes visited a friend’s house that had book shelves lining the entire length of their hallway. My mum hated it, saying it was “…cluttered and claustrophobic.” I loved it. Someday I’ll have a hallway filled with books (that’s also the day I get my home library and book nook).

I prefer traditional shelving but there are some fabulous ‘built-in’ units (that my mum would approve of).
