01. Not our usual opera venue but fabulous to see Tosca this week. It’s in my top three operas – will never tire of the music (especially act III); loved the sets; loved settling into the music again (we didn’t get any opera last year); and although the possibility of hot chips at interval was strangely appealing, we didn’t succumb!

02. This weeks German Film Festival outings –
- One for the Road – this modern tragicomedy had a deeper message about friendship that was quite lovely.
- From Hilde, With Love – the only film with an historical setting that I’ve seen this festival, and my pick of the GFF 2024. Devastating story, beautifully filmed, and with a epilogue that had me bawling.
- Not a Word – terrific build of tension but perhaps a little too neat. My friend and I noted that it was the third film we’ve seen about a composer in a year (the others being Maestro and Tár).
03. Watching: Drops of God (Apple TV) – totally engrossed.
04. Can’t wait for this doco on the Brat Pack.
05. Haven’t had a chance to use it yet but already think this bag-meets-packing-cube will be ace.
06. Bit obsessed with this deep teal green nail polish (Malmö by Mavala) – should have been wearing it for Eurovision two weeks ago!
07. A morning at The Big Design Market. Favourite bits and bobs – this bread saw (it’s magic – functional and beautiful) and this deliciousness from Ricci’s Bikkies.
