Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson
Why I have it: Not sure.
Summary: The story of Ruth and her younger sister, Lucille, who grow up haphazardly, first under the care of their competent grandmother, then of two comically bumbling great-aunts, and finally of Sylvie, their eccentric and remote aunt.
I’m thinking: Maybe.
Swallowing Geography by Deborah Levy
Why I have it: Enjoyed Levy in the past.
Summary: Interrogates the yearning of discontented children, imagined homes, strangers and histories, as the century draws to an end.
