Why I have it: appeared on the 2020 ‘Best’ list.

Summary: The story of a mid-century American family with twelve children, six of them diagnosed with schizophrenia. The family helped scientists understand the disease.

I’m thinking: Yes.

The Act of Living by Frank Tallis

Why I have it: A book about psychotherapy with such a gorgeous cover? How could I resist?

Summary: Examines the intellectual legacy of psychotherapy.

I’m thinking: Yes.

The Lost Family by Libby Copeland

Why I have it: Recommended by Bookish Beck.

Summary: Copeland investigates what happens when we embark on a vast social experiment (genealogy) with little understanding of the ramifications.

I’m thinking: Yes.
