And lastly, do I have the strength for a Franzen trilogy…? It begins with A Key to All Mythologies: Crosswords.
You’re all over the new releases!
Oddly, I didn’t read as many round-ups of new releases this year – wondered if publishers were holding back a bit to see what happens with COVID given so many were delayed this year.
Now that you mention it, I haven’t seen many either.
Eek, I have read this from behind the sofa – I have soooo many books to catch up on from 2020. But who can resist such tempting titles…!!
Same but I’ve decided it’s useless to resist,
Gone on, you can do the Franzen trilogy. Brilliant lists and I am very partial to reading those you have listed under ‘More from Australian authors’. Happy new year reading!
Great picks, I’ll be adding a few to my wishlist!
Happy New Year !
Keen to read the Vida.
I might buy one or two. After I’ve read your reviews.
A new novel from Maggie Shipstead, at last?!? You’ve made my day! I’m also keen on the Bechdel (which I hadn’t heard about), as well as the Davies (a novel?), Franzen, Krasnostein and Lockwood, which were already on my radar.
My Phantoms is stunning! I didn’t know there was a new Bourdain, glad to see that.

Having done a book buying splurge towards the end of 2020 I’m afraid to even look at these temptations
Nooo, I can’t think about this yet… I just want to muddle around with what I’ve got for a while.
