I loved The Hiding Game but you may find yourself wanting to book a ticket to Dessau if you read it.
I think you’ll love The Hiding Game. I’ve considered the Yiyun Li but I’m not sure: I don’t doubt the emotion would be powerful, but I’ve heard the writing is repetitive and abstract.
I really want to the read The Hiding Game – I look forward to your thoughts!
I’ve just this minute finished The Hiding Game and am still thinking my way through it. I think for me it is a book that needs a second read because I was forever stopping to check on points to do with the art of the Bauhaus and the history of the period. It might be an idea to do a bit of background reading before you start.
Where reasons End is a sad read, but one worth reading. Mother and son relationship.
