01. Yay! Favel Parrett has a new book coming in September – There Was Still Love.
02. And there was a hint from Heather Rose about her new book…
03. There’s stuff on Twitter that really makes me laugh. Like this.
04. Also on Twitter, I learn of Tiny Beautiful Things, the stage play!
05. Threading, two bookmarks and your ‘BuJo’. Holy hell. Does anyone actually do this?
06. Serial, the series, coming to SBS in April.
07. This excellent podcast episode about libraries.
08. The best thing about the Sydney Writers Festival is that all the international authors pop down to Melbourne while they’re here. And the fabulous Wheeler Centre hosts them. I’m going to see Jenny Erpenbeck, Meg Wolitzer, and Andrew Sean Greer. Considering if I can also fit in Susan Orlean and Rachel Kushner.
09. You know when you’ve put away the suitcases after your last trip but you’re already thinking about the next one? That. Maybe here.
10. I haven’t played Book Bingo fortnightly (and missed the initial sign-up as I was away) but I will try to do a quarterly check-in. Find out more at Theresa Smith Writes if you want to join in.

You’ve cleared heaps of squares already! Excellent!!
Glad to have you playing along.
But haven’t made a row yet!
Round 13 which posts for me on June 22 sees my first row, vertical, right down the middle.
LOL I’m going to hear Andrew Sean Greer too, but I’m popping over the ditch to hear him in NZ – at the Auckland Writers Festival in May. So it looks as if he’s doing a sweep of the southern hemisphere, eh?
Lucky you! Visiting another country for a writers festival is on my bucket list (and the plan is loosely based round the chance to hear John Irving speak). Will look forward to hearing about the sessions you attend.
Yes, I think I’m going to have to do something about my laptop so that I can blog it as I go…
3. Brilliant
5. No way and I never will. I’m not sure I really understand it 😀
no.5 it just seems your time could be better spent reading…
Fingers firmly crossed that the Parrett will be published in the UK. I loved When the Night Comes.
Enjoy the festival I’d like to go one year.
I can’t really resist a cover with a fox on it (though it doesn’t always work out for me). So cool that you got a personal reply from Cheryl Strayed!
I’d love to see the Tiny Beautiful Things play. Adored that book.
2. Eager anticipation.
9. Am planning 2nd and last os trip for my 70th. Wish it wasn’t coming up so fast!
9. Exciting! Where are you going?
Birthday in Paris, Eurail everywhere, ending up in Serbia (beyond the limits of Eurail) maybe.
Sounds fabulous. I will expect some show-off holiday posts 😬
05. Oh my. I barely have time to sit down to try and read a book at the moment.
