Show-off holiday post: the Great Ocean Road

Sometimes, when you have an international tourist destination on your doorstep (relatively speaking…), you forget that it’s there to enjoy.

Last week, we reminded ourselves of such a place and visited Lorne, Cape Otway, Great Otway National Park and Port Campbell National Park.

We drove the hairpin bends of the Great Ocean Road for coastal views and wound our way through the tall Mountain Ash forest of the Otways.

We scaled great heights at the Cape Otway Lighthouse and the Otway Treetop Walk.

The grey skies added to the drama of our ocean views. A lovely week.

    • Hadn’t been down that way for so long Jenny! Much busier than last time I was there (15 years ago). We went because my eldest son, who has such a travel bug, wanted to go on one of the ‘World’s Best Ocean Drives’ 🙂
