First Book of the Year 2016

So I may have had many drinks with bubbles last night…

Which may have left me feeling less than energetic today…

But onward and upward because I promised Sheila at Book Journey that I’d share my first book of 2016. And that book is the contemporary classic (is that an oxymoron… don’t know, I’m too ‘tired’ to think about it), Crossing to Safety by Wallace Stegner.

    • Happy New Year to you! (Joyfully, now that my kids are older I can make them my mini-butlers on days like this – bring mum a drink *I’ll pay you a dollar*, please plug my phone in…, a Lindor ball would be good, fetch them and you can have one…)

  1. Such a sad, beautiful book. Stegner is one of my all time favorite authors and this one did not disappoint.

Looks like a perfect way to start the new year. I didn’t stop reading or roll out of bed until after 10am!
