True Prep: It’s a Whole New Old World by Lisa Birnbach and Chip Kidd
Why I have it: Possibly because I have another book by Chip Kidd. And because I don’t hate a popped collar.
Summary: Contemporary look at how the old guard of natural-fiber-loving, dog-worshipping, G&T-soaked preppies adapt to the new order of things (like polar fleece).
I’m thinking: Fun but suspect it’s probably a one-trick pony.
Girl Meets Boy: The Myth of Iphis by Ali Smith
Why I have it: No idea.
Summary: Myth given a refresh for the ‘modern world’.
I’m thinking: Nope, will finish How to be Both first.
Unfriending My Ex: And Other Things I’ll Never Do by Kim Stolz
Why I have it: No idea.
Summary: For an entire generation, an experience not captured on social media might as well not have happened at all – memoir about life online.
I’m thinking: I laughed in the very short, tight-arse ‘chapter’ (paragraph) that was the sample, so maybe.
Girl Meets Boy is a quick read, so its not a big commitment for you. I detest a popped collar, but maybe that’s because I work near Sloane Square & have had my fill 🙂
