Today I’m talking things I love. Not the big, super-duper-important, high-level things like my family (because that goes without saying). No, today is about life’s little pleasures.
1. The beach. Pools. And swimming in those places (the picture above is my favourite place to be during summer – McCrae beach on the Mornington Peninsula).
2. Handbags. Particularly evening purses. Kate Spade is often my undoing.
3. Cocktail rings. Sparkly, fancy and large, please.
4. Yellow.
5. Food porn, particularly Australian Gourmet Traveller.
6. Gossip Girl. Speak to me Chuck Bass.
7. ABBA. I’m five again, in the loungeroom, dancing to my Arrival record.
8. Gin and tonics. I won’t pretend anything healthier…
9. The scent of violets and coconut (but not together). Amongst my favourite things – Laura Mercier’s Violette andย Kiehl’s Amino Acid Shampoo.
10. And last but not least, nail polish. I will never reveal how many bottles of nail polish I own but it’s shameful. I’ve been favouring shades of blue and green of late but metallics are creeping in for summer. And despite what my husband thinks, all of my bottles of red polish are slightly different.
Beautiful beach! Envious that we won’t be seeing it these hols.
We’ve had two beach days – in September! And who says there’s no such thing as global warming?!
Yellow! ABBA! 2 of my very favorite things in all the land! ๐
Well you have excellent taste.
Nail polish! I’m big on the blues and greens and black (oh, and nude), especially the metallic shades ๐ Though I have started wearing a bit more red and pink these days too xD
Been loving the beach/sea/sky photos you’ve posted on Twitter. I’m not big on hitting the beach but your photos are so serene and bright and happy ๐
I enjoyed reading your list! ๐
I think people are either beach or mountain types. No prizes for guessing I’m not that into mountains ๐
What a great post- made me smile-thanks!!
Thanks!
Food porn. YES. Completely agree. ๐ I have never had a Gin and Tonic. I love gin though… usually mix it with either 7up or ginger ale. Will have to try this though!
If you like gin, you must get into the tonic (with plenty of ice and a slice of lime). Tonic has a zesty, slightly citrusy flavour that goes perfectly with gin.
I love 1,3,7 and 8!
Well you have very good taste ๐
