I need a ‘pause’ button.
I read great reviews (thanks fellow bloggers) and then hit Amazon and moments later I have the book on my Kindle. Such is the joy (and the agony in terms of my wallet) of online shopping.
I have tempered my impulse buying somewhat. Somewhat…
I use ‘wishlists’, Kindle samples and the ‘Want to Read’ feature on Goodreads as a way of reminding me of books that look like my kind of thing. But still, sometimes the need is too great. And I wish I could hit ‘pause’ instead of ‘Add to Shopping Cart’.

That’s what EVERYONE says! I think I got it over a year ago!
I did the same with Sweet Tooth! And the Jojo Moyes book is actually quite good. I had an ARC and few expectations but ended up really liking it.
So many people have recommended Jojo Moyes – it shouldn’t be so but I must say the cover does nothing for me!
I’m still waiting for Sweet Tooth to hit paperback ;_; Soon…
I recently read Alys, Always, it was a pretty interesting read! And slim, too, which made for a bit of a quick read 😉

Me Before You and The Snow Child were really quite lovely. The Lifeboat is sitting on my shelf unread too. Which makes me laugh because I won a signed copy of this and was so crazy excited and… that was like a year ago. One of these days. 🙂
I have Me Before You on hold at my library! I think I’m number five or something so it will be quite awhile, still. The Snow Child was lovely! Hope you enjoy the books if you do get around to them. 🙂
The Lifeboat was a miss for me, I didn’t care for it, but I’ll be curious what you think. Charlotte Street is worth a read, it’s cute and fun (won’t exactly change your life, but a solid 3-3.5/5). I’m refusing to read Me Before You – too sad.
I would highly recommend Me Before You. It made my best of list last year and I think it is going to make it again for this year (becaue I reread it and still loved it!).
I have Michael Chabon on my list as well. He’s one of my favorite authors, but I don’t always have time carved out to savor his books. I keep hearing good things about Telegraph Avenue!
